Common Issues:

I need help to setup my email account.

I have issues sending mails out to my recipients / I encountered a “We do not relay” error message. (SMTP Authentication)


1. Start the Microsoft Outlook program.

Use the Start menu to start Outlook (New). (If this is the first time you are using Outlook on your device, a small window with Outlook logo will prompt you to create a new account. Please close this window by clicking on the X sign located at the top right corner of the window.)

Under Suggested accounts, input your company email address eg John@abc.com. Then click Continue.

Outlook will attempt to use Autodiscover to find your default account and server settings. If Autodiscover is not successful, Outlook will default to IMAP configuration.

For most users, please use POP configuration by clicking on the Select Provider button, and then scroll down to the bottom of the next menu to select POP.

Outlook will then proceed to ask for password. On the same screen, locate the Show more option and shift the cursor to the right.

Locate the Use recommended settings option and shift the cursor to the left.

Enter both the “Incoming mail server” and “Outgoing mail server (SMTP)” as mentioned below.

Return to the top of the password screen to input your account password, and then click Continue.

Under the Sync your account screen, click Continue.

Outlook will proceed to ask a few more questions on user data and permissions. You may allow them or skip per your preferences.
