Common Issues:

I need help to setup my email account.

I have issues sending mails out to my recipients / I encountered a “We do not relay” error message. (SMTP Authentication)

 



1. On your phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.

2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.

3. Tap Add another account.

4. Under Set up email, select Other.

5. Under Add your email address, enter your full email address, then select Manual Setup.

6. Select the preferred account type (POP3/IMAP).

7. Enter the password details assigned for your email address. Click Next when done.

8. For Incoming server settings, please refer to the details indicated under the below table:

Click Next to proceed with Outgoing server settings. Gmail app will attempt to validate the incoming server settings.

If you encounter the Certificate not valid error during validation, please follow the below steps:
Under the error message window, click Advanced.
Under the Certificate not trusted screen, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Proceed Anyway.
The error screen will reappear. This time, click Back. You will be led back to Incoming server settings screen with additional options below.
Under Security Type, select None.
Click Next to proceed with Outgoing server settings.

9. SMTP Authentication
Under Outgoing server settings screen, ensure that Require sign-in is enabled.

10. For Outgoing server settings, please refer to the details indicated in the above table.

11. Click Next when done. Gmail app will attempt to validate the outgoing server settings.

If you encounter the Certificate not valid error during validation, please follow the below steps:
Under the error message window, click Advanced.
Under the Certificate not trusted screen, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Proceed Anyway.
The error screen will reappear. This time, click Back. You will be led back to Outgoing server settings screen with additional options below.
Under Security Type, select None.
Click Next when done.

12. Under Account options, select preferred sync frequency and options. Click Next when done. Your mail account will now be accessible from Gmail app.
